Homage to the golden age of byzantium, an era of renewal, opulence and luxury

“Nea” is the name of a splendid edifice near the Imperial palace, “Nea Iglesia”, built by Basil I, as the tangible symbol of this era of renewal, of “renaissance”, during the Golden Age of the Byzantine Empire.

Byzantium, at this period, is at the apogee of its grandeur, a veritable economic, cultural and religious center, impressing the rest of the world by its reaches, its arts and by the quality of life, veritable « douceur de vivre ».

“Néa”, composed around a gourmand accord with rich, but extremely refined oriental influences, searches to portray this lost splendor at the heart of the Imperial palace, where the time flows slowly, while enjoying fully the luxury and pleasures offered by the Orient. Dried fruit, spices, palm leaves, jasmine and rose portray in a simple, but most refined way, the splendor of the gardens surrounding the majestic palace, while sweet, addictive notes of tonka bean, vanilla and caramel mixed at perfection with enveloping benjoin and seductive cashmeran, open the doors of the splendid palace, an invitation to experience a perfect feeling of well-being…

THE PERFUMER

Luca Maffei

Luca Maffei, a renowned Italian perfumer, is the creative force behind Atelier Fragranze Milano. Raised in a family steeped in the perfume industry, he was introduced to scents as a child, notably by his father, who worked at Symrise and International Flavors and Fragrances. After gaining experience in the perfume trade, Luca studied in Grasse under Françoise Marin, then worked with Maurizio Cerizza, before launching Atelier Fragranze Milano and becoming a member of the Société Française des Parfumeurs in 2014. Maffei has created over 50 fragrances for various brands, winning international awards. His popular fragrances include Masque Milano L’Attesa and Jul and Mad Paris Néa. His unique vision, combining Italian heritage and varied experience, continues to influence the world of perfumery.

Your precious nectar is presented in a magnificent gold-plated multi-faceted flacon, crowned with our signature bright gold cap, engraved with the brand logo. Always accompanied by its white velvet pouch decorated with the gold logo, the fragrance bottle is presented in an exceptional white lacquer-finish wood case, entirely hand-made.

Veritable work of art, the case features two lateral doors decorated with a 23 karat gold-plated closing magnetized plaque, made-to-measure and engraved with the JUL ET MAD Paris symbol. The interior is lined with luxurious white satin to elegantly stage the beautiful flacon.

A rechargeable golden Nomad Spray, decorated with hand-embedded crystals, always accompanies the flacon in a hidden compartment, also decorated with a 23 karat engraved gold-plated metal plaque.
