The presentation

Bearing the name of the Sumerian Goddess of Gardens or Goddess of Plants, Nin-Shar is inspired by Babylon and its magnificent Hanging Gardens, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Constructed by Nebuchadnezzar II, the ruler who gave Babylon its period of greatest fame, the famous gardens were conceived for his beautiful wife, Amytis, to remind her of the green hills and valleys of her homeland, she deeply missed.

Although one of the greatest civilizations achieving an unparalleled level of culture and knowledge for the period, Babylon kept a very “severe” trait, almost barbaric, its powerful society being built on conquests, expansions, tears and blood and ruled by great warriors.

THE OLFACTORY PYRAMID

The Accord: Rose / Oud

This very contrast is evoked in “Nin-Shar”. The purest and best quality absolute of Turkish Rose was employed here, revealing a rich, profound, strong, powerful multi-facetted fragrance where soft, comforting, floral, powdery facets, intertwine with strong, green, balsamic, woody, earthy notes, a pure representation of the entire plant, from the soft, floral petals to the green leaves, stem and thorns, and all the way to the roots.

THE PERFUMER

Sidonie Lancesseur:

Sidonie Lancesseur doesn’t come from a perfumery family and didn’t express a desire to become a perfumer from an early age. However, during her studies, she did a summer internship in Grasse with the famous Robertet company, one of the world leaders in the manufacture of aromas. This was all Sidonie Lancesseur needed to be convinced that she had found her vocation. So, after studying science, she enrolled at the most prestigious perfume school in the world: ISIPCA in Versailles. After graduating from this institution, Sidonie Lancesseur returned to the company that had instilled in her a passion for fragrances: Robertet. In 2004, she joined the company as an assistant perfumer. It was there that she met the man who was to become her mentor: Michel Almairac. She learned a great deal from him and perfected her technique. After two years’ apprenticeship, Sidonie Lancesseur became a perfumer in her own right. Since then, she has created some great perfumes. Sidonie Lancesseur is also famous for the elegance and natural authenticity of her creations. For the time being, however, Sidonie Lancesseur prefers to stay well away from overly commercial perfumes. She prefers more confidential fragrances for niche perfumers. She is also responsible for Straight to Heaven by By Kilian and Cruel Intentions.

Your precious nectar is presented in a magnificent gold-plated multi-faceted flacon, crowned with our signature bright gold cap, engraved with the brand logo. Always accompanied by its white velvet pouch decorated with the gold logo, the fragrance bottle is presented in an exceptional white lacquer-finish wood case, entirely hand-made.

Veritable work of art, the case features two lateral doors decorated with a 23 karat gold-plated closing magnetized plaque, made-to-measure and engraved with the JUL ET MAD Paris symbol. The interior is lined with luxurious white satin to elegantly stage the beautiful flacon.

A rechargeable golden Nomad Spray, decorated with hand-embedded crystals, always accompanies the flacon in a hidden compartment, also decorated with a 23 karat engraved gold-plated metal plaque.
